This is the best little boutique located in charming Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro. Amazing clothes, accessories, home decor and a candle pour bar in the back makes this place so fun to visit. The owner and her staff are absolutely wonderful...always ready to help you pick the perfect item. They go above and beyond in customer service and products.

I love this store. I always find something that is great, affordable, and everything has proved to be high quality and lasting. In addition, the staff are so friendly. The owner is friendlier and so helpful in a not pushy way. The store has a great mission AND you can get in and out quickly. Perfect shopping.

Love, love, love this shop and the team running it! The clothes are trendy, the knick knacks whimsical, and the candles smell heavenly. This place is great to bop around and shop or bring your friends/family for a candle pouring class or color analysis. Back to the candles, Lost Boy is perfection and my house smells like it year round.

I have had such wonderful experiences here! The owner and staff are so helpful and friendly. I absolutely loved the especially awesome color consultations (both for me and my daughter) and making scented candles with friends.The clothing and accessories are fantastic. This boutique is a hidden gem tucked away in Carr Mill mall. The clothing selection is thoughtfully curated; pieces are stylish, unique, wearable and are displayed in a space that’s as beautiful as the pieces themselves. Every corner feels intentional, warm, and inviting, making it less like a store and more like a place you genuinely want to spend time. What truly sets this boutique apart is the experience. The customer service is exceptional: attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. You feel welcomed, remembered, and cared for, whether it’s your first visit or your fifth. It’s the kind of place where shopping feels effortless and fun. And then there’s everything beyond the racks. The candle pour bar tucked in the back provides an experience that is fun and brings out your inner creativity. Add to that the color anthology experience (with the incredibly talented owner whose eye and passion elevate the entire visit), and you realize this is something truly special. This isn’t just a shopping stop. It’s a destination. A must-visit boutique that redefines what shopping can be.

I had an awesome experience at Narrative! Haley did my color analysis and went above and beyond to answer a ton of related questions. We found some great pieces in the shop and of course had to snag a candle. I feel way more confident to refine my closet and invest in some quality pieces that I'll wear and love. This place is great! We recently held an amazing small private event at the Published Pour Bar. Staff members Alyssa and Libby made the experience very special. They were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us lots of helpful advice on crafting our different candles. They were patient while we tried out different scents, and our candles turned out perfectly! They were responsive and accommodating during booking, and the space is very warm and welcoming. It was a unique experience that we will definitely try again in the future. Thanks again to Alyssa and Libby for all their help.
